Enjoyed 2 wines in excellent condition over the weekend.
1999 Grant Burge Meschach - Smooth as silk with great fruit and excellent oak integration. 1999 is offering some great wines if you can still find them.
1997 Lindemans Limestone Ridge Cab Shiraz - Considering that this was not regarded as one of the great Coonawarra vintages, this wine had great fruit, great depth, great balance!

1996 Lanson Gold Label - much better than the last bottle. Lovely fruit, racy acidity. A keeper.

NV Randall Sparkling Shiraz - probably a touch too sweet

2000 E Guigal Brune et Blonde - tarry, smoky, chocolaty. Seems to have put on weight in the past year.

2001 Wynns Cabernet Sauvignon - didnt get the green streak I've had with other bottles.

1996 Penfolds Bin 28 - this is seriously good booze for a cheap wine (at time of purchase). It has a decade or more in front of it. Everything you could want from SA shiraz.

1998 Dom Perignon - bread and caramel on the nose. Sweet, round fruit on the palate. Not the length & acid of the 96, but this is a super champagne. Much better than I had been led to believe.
