Drank the last of my Barwang Cab Sav '92 with friends. This originally cost me $15. in about '94 and was assessed by the Penguin Guide as a 5star wine that would take around 10yrs cellaring. Accompanying comment was "what a cracker, the orchestra comes together with a crescendo that raises the roof. Like the Moody Blues in search of the lost chord". How could I resist buying that. Well they were absolutely right as usual, it drank beautifully to the last bottle, still rich and vibrant with great fruit and balance. I think it would have been at the top of its game for even a few more years. Wish I had another dozen.
