I'm really hoping my Swannies can win it, I haven't waited 72 yearts like some people but it has been 25 years at least!
If we get up I'll break a couple of vows, I'll drink red wine and I'll also drink white wine to celebrate. The red will be Hunter because I promised Gary Walsh I'd knock of a Hunter in celebration if we won.
I've never so looked forward to getting hammered on Hunter!!
GO SWANS

Only got one red , 1998 Rothbury Brokenback Shiraz, the only Hunter to win a Blacktongues lineup.
Got some 1987 & 1989 Lindemans Porphry for the white.

Been to the winery but the wines always fail to impress me, but I haven't had the one you mention above. If it won a Blacktongues night it must be something special!
Maybe I should bring a few Hunter reds to the planned offline in Adelaide in November?

Steady on, we want drinkable stuff at the offline! Hunter would see you banned I'm afraid.
I'd drink metho if it would get the Swans over the line, that's the only reason I'm doing Hunter.

Alas,
i must have offended someone (the god of wine or the god of sport) as i have been called into work today.
.
Working in hospitality (in one of sydneys large leagues club) this is one of those joys that goes with the work!!! No wine or AFL (or at least bits and pieces) for me.
GO THE SWANS!!

Yeah well, I am sucking on filthy saddle leather bottled by Rothbury in the guise of their 1999 Black Label Shiraz to hold up my end of the bargain with that sodden Sydneyite Pom GW.
Oh poor me.
Carn the Big Bird for next year.

PS: 96 print is drinking beatifully, & yes the 96 lakes took a little while to coax out of its hole, almost ready to crack the case & start trying to your own tastes.
