The vintages either side of me are widely regarded as two of the best.

Well, lunch was sensational
Well done Jamie, in a record time of 4 1/2 hours too
BTW, I had a 97 Tollana Cab last week, nearly bowled me over with its quality. Purchased 2 cases on speck (and JO rating at the time - very high) at release, been slowly consuming them. Until this year they have been a constant dissapointment, but now, whoooa, they've really come good, great wine. I should have been more patient, only have another 4 to go
Likewise the 97 Peter Lehmann Barossa Shiraz , also an excellent wine. I'm thinking 97 is an under-rated year from this region and deserves more accolades
'til next week ............

Yes, the 97 Tollana Cab is a lovely wine. Last year it was preferred by a group to the 98 St Henri, although it's probably not a fair comparison with the Hal needing a lot more time.
