I hear you Jamie. Other than a few bottles from the early 80’s, I find it hard to recall a screw capped Aus Riesling that was past it. I like the kerosene flavoured examples though, so maybe I have had a few that others would have considered too old.

Thanks Ian, I actually did a search last week, your name, and a couple of others here came up. I purchased a couple of these many years ago, think it may be a one off (or was there a '96?).
The bottle is low neck, intact wax seal. Plan to consume at an annual lunch in December.

I thought the Eisenstone releases were their best yet, especially their 4 or 5 dearest ones. Really elegant expressions of single vineyard Barossa Shiraz
