4 new cases three months after origin. Doctors analysing this are seriously shaking their heads in disbelief.

Although the West seems incredibly reluctant to admit it, we in the medical circles think this might be the greatest achievement yet in mankind's long history. Chinese methods have been bizarrely draconian, but stunningly systematic for the past ten weeks, ruthless and absolutely correct in their method and execution. What should have been a death toll of around 500,000 people, calculated on any computer model you wish to name will, in the end, be less than 4,000.

Make no mistake, what has been done in China the past 10 weeks makes landing on the moon the equivalent of parking your car on Chapel Street.

The sad part? With the exception of several Asian countries, the rest of the World have largely ignored the Chinese experience and methodology. The coming 10 weeks will demonstrate what an horrendous mistake that was. Even sadder, Australia is one of the main culprits.
What utter garbage.

You talk s**t at the best of times, but Google "HEALTHCAREInfection Trajectory: See Which Countries are Flattening Their COVID-19 Curve" and you'll see that your beloved PRC (who you fled from to one of the countries that are making a "horrendous mistake") is one of the worst countries at flattening the epidemic curve.

I can't believe that others have remained silent whilst you troll the country that you fled to at times of danger.

You are a f* disgrace of a human being.
yes, yes, now go take an aspirin and have a good lie down.

Suggest we go back to arguing about the other normal things:

Screwtop Vs Cork

Henschke Hill of Grace Vs Penfolds Grange

Do all roads lead to Burgundy

Well, in great news for the people in WuHan, and the World in general, there were zero recorded new cases there yesterday. It shows that this can be contained using the correct methods, hopefully Australia follows suit.

Anyway, all roads do indeed lead to Burgundy, even if those roads look like being closed until September. I'm off to the cellar to get a large supply of both Burgundy and Bordeaux in case Scotty from Marketing orders us all indoors.... there could be worse things than sitting in front of the TV watching old movies, drinking great wine, and contemplating which cheese to eat next :D :D

Not sure about that Roscoe.
SZ hospital Covid wards are now totally empty, they have resumed elective surgery.
They have dismantled the Covid hospitals in WuHan and sent 100k of ventilators to Italy. My bro-in-law there is a doctor and reckons the virus has been eradicated, he is an opthalmic surgeon and expects to resume elective surgery in two weeks.
The above is first-hand and factual, no question.
If they still had a significant problem, there would be no way they would have taken those measures.
Their huge worry now is, of course, imported cases, as hundreds of thousands of Chinese in other parts of the World scramble to get back into the mainland... the ultimate irony.

Thanks Felix for the insight,
With PRC's track records its hard to blame people of the world not to believe whatever they try to let the world to know.
Thatsaid, still not warrant you received personal attack from fellow forum mate.

The ultimate irony hasn't played out yet. What ever that may be? Certainly, current events minus low petrol prices and rationing, gives indication of what conflict between the US and China in Asia would look like. The next few years I hope we are all vigilant, howling down the hawks- though without being submissive to the thugs running the PRC.

Deserted HKG airport reported its busiest day ever- for private jets- bringing back the uber wealthy to the "safety" of China. Such selfish asses.

I'm glad the footy is on. Tonight, I'll have a few big glasses of Barbaresco ( forget Burgundy this is the most soulful wine region in the world ) and a vegetarian pie.

I raised a glass of 2019 Tscharke Touriga Nacional to the green maggots in the first QTR against the blues.
3 votes for every umpire there. Should've been a 10+ goal hiding so well done to the baggers for staying off the canvas.
Good to see the Doc runing around again. But poor old farm tractor Krooz..... Down again. Bugga.
Not that I see this season going for too long anyway.... :(

I am so over this season opener fixture...of course the Tiges see it as a bye. Especially now that they have won a couple of flags. Come on you piss weak 16 other teams in the comp, step up and be a premier so we can play someone else!!?? Or Richmond can play someone else
As a Blues supporter I am gutted for Kruzer, could of been anything, but soft tissue, questionable bones, joints, etc. have plagued him his whole career.
Have hardly had any wine over the last few weeks but a 2015 KT Clare Shiraz should go well with pizza.
Cheers Craig

Mewstone Sauvignon Blanc 2017 - D'Entrecasteaux Channel, Tasmania. 13.5% alcohol.

Green yellow colour, fairly dark. Seems to have developed quite a lot in the last six months sitting in my cupboard over summer. Almost dessert wine nose, like a muscat de beunes with the alcoholic hit, sometimes veering to gewurztraminer. Touch of ginger. Palate still lychee dominant, some jasmine tea, finishing long, slightly rich, but with bitter notes. Not much acidity to speak of. I was very impressed when I first had this wine but it seems like it may not be one for keeping. 4 stars.

Over the past week or so

Asahi beer - 91 points
La Ca Nova Barbaresco 2016 - 92 points, good but a long step down from the Montefico
Vasse felix Filius 2017 - 92 points - Awesome nose, slightly less impressive palate but a bargain for under $20
Sorrenberg Chardonnay 2018 - 96 points. Woah Nelly. This is super impressive and as good as any Australian Chardonnay as I've had, possibly the best. Utterly, utterly impressive. Drink young though.

Screw the pies (not against them - just not interested). I don't know this producer. Any good? What style? Worth tracking down? If so, where?

No problems Michael I hope you enjoy it. Please post your thoughts. I would advise that it drinks very well over 2 nights but in my humble opinion it's drinking brilliantly now and i don't imagine it will get better.

Just wish I could source a couple more bottles but online research leads me to believe it's long gone.
