Was the 2103 Best's 'Bin 0' a futures purchase?

By the way, the 1999 Best's 'FHT' is supposed to be superb. Smart buy.

Indeed. There was significant frost damage that year, so they didn't produce any Thomson Family or Bin 0. All the fruit they could salvage went into the FHT, so it's effectively a blend of Thomson Family/Bin 0.

I know, and the sad part is I could have bought and cellared a couple of bottles. The only reason I didn't was because I had already cellared a couple of 1998 Bin 0s. Stupid me!

Edit: ... and because I already had plenty of 1998s and a few 1999s.

Bought 3 bottles from the winery on release for my younger son as a birth year wine. Best's wines age so effortlessly that I reckon they are good for his 40th no worries. Well we can tuck two away and try one when he is 30

Their museum releases prices have skyrocketed in recent years. I bought quite a few bottles back in 2014 for little more than the current release prices at the time. Now the prices are 5+ times what you can buy at auction. The provenance is perfect though.
