Re: September 2018 Purchases
No... but Steve indicated it’s close in style to The Merle.. slightly lower alcohol. All from his own grapes near Sevenhill from memory. While I don’t normally pay attention to critics, every one seems to have rated it highly, and it did well at the wine shows. Given that and the price, it was an easy decision
Re: September 2018 Purchases
After a taste yesterday, I bought some to cellar.

I have and it (other vintages) is a decent little wine. Gary Walsh, who's palate I think it pretty good, gave it 95, it is only$20 and Gary gave it a 10 year window. Worth a punt if you ask me.rooman wrote:Mike have you tried any in the past. This is the first I have seen of it.Mike Hawkins wrote:12x 2017 Naked Run Riesling.... Re: September 2018 Purchases
Very tempting. Gary doesn't normally get excited about riesling so 95 is a good score on his scale.rens wrote:I have and it (other vintages) is a decent little wine. Thanks. Not sure why but I don't appear to have any Merle, something I may rectify with the 2017 vintage.Mike Hawkins wrote:No... but Steve indicated it’s close in style to The Merle.. slightly lower alcohol. What’s the Vajra price in your neck of the woods?

Re: September 2018 Purchases
I paid $77 for BdV and $73 for Ravera after 15% off during Fall Sale Day. I live in Canada and the prices are in Canadian dollars, which exchange rate to Aussies is about one to one.

Re: September 2018 Purchases
In Canada we have GST at the federal level pegged at 5% on top of which are provincial sales tax (PST) that ranges from 6-10% depending on the province. Also, unless I'm missing something there is shipping involved in getting the wines over here.
Mahmoud.
PS: In Alberta, where I live, we have no PST, only a 5% GST.

Better than cellar door! Hook in to their other wine at the cheaper end. Excellent Piedmont expressions across the board.
