Yes have a mate with a couple of restaurants in Adelaide, who around 7-10 years ago, sent many bottles of HoG back to the winery.

Oh, forgot, after the Rockford Golf day I visited cellar door and got-
3 x 2006 SVS Flaxman and
3 x 2006 SVS Hoffman
3 x 2014 Rifle Range
All lovely at the tasting

Btw, Ian Tickle and his partner in crime Phil Towle won the scratch score at the golf, with (I think) a 67. Smart scoring!

I'm well aware of Henschke Brett issues in 98 as I returned stock too but is there and inference current release Lakes Folly and HofG affected? Sorry for my poor comprehension.

Don't be sorry, a previous poster certainly alluded to the fact about these wines! I am still wondering on what basis also...

Current note on Cellar Tracker for the 14 Lakes Folly:-

can't fake the funk on the nasty - whatever this is. Consensus is folly. Dry, herbal, chook poop, animale, blackberry, sticky tannin. Everyone's preferred of the flight.

You tried the Roagna CP? Incredibly intensity without loss of finesse. Do they go for a good price on the secondary market?

Have not tried one yet.

I'm not sure what they normally go for here, I think this is the first time I've seen them come up for sale.
$460 + 15%.

Some Portuguese wines just arrived, so into CT with them tonight. The 1st wine is a white, the rest reds:

1 x 2014 Buçaco Branco Reservado
2 x 2013 Niepoort Clos de Crappe (yes that is the name, an ironic wine)
2 x 2009 Sidónio de Sousa Garrafeira
1 x 2007 Colares Arenae
1 x 1990 Viuva Gomes Colares reserva
1 x 1980 Caves Velhas Bairrada Garrafeira
1 x 1966 Quinta dos Caveleiros Bairrada Garrafeira

One more order on the way, but not expected before the end of the month, so I'll be *resurrecting the 2017 buying plans thread soon, to see how I'm doing.

Is my memory correct that 'woolla' used to be the chief resurrector of old threads here?

regards
Ian

Your memory is correct. Woolla was a regular contributor on another now defunct wine forum. Don't thing he is around presently, but who knows- he may contribute under another alias.

Ah come on! You could have thrown a Tassie sparkler and a Wynns Black Label in to get the full house  (you're excepted from having to buy from Queensland and NT)
