As a long term malt lover, specifically an Islayphile, would be happy to hear what you got. I too have stayed away from any purchases, awaiting the Wendouree mailer and saving my pennies.

Hi Krusty,

Other than the 18 y/o Laphroig, I'm guessing the bottles I've bought might not be to you taste preferences. I love the elegance of Glenmorangie, so grabbed 2 x 18 y/o and more of the 'private editions' - 6 x Companta, 3 x Ealanta, 2 x Artein, 2 x Finealta, as well as 1 x Signet. Also bought 18 y/o Highland Park (after opening it, will give it to a mate - not my cup of tea), 15 y/o GlenDronach and 18 y/o Glenfiddich plus a few other whose names escape me. Have also got some Pappy van Winkle Bourbons on order - magnificent stuff, but hard to find.

Cheers

Mike

It is. Fantastic VFM. Drinks well now with a bit of air and will certainly improve with time in the cellar. Had a bottle with Barry last month and thoroughly enjoyed it. He's also excited about his 2012 as well.

I grabbed another 6 pack this week and another dozen 2008 GSM's. The GSM has almost become our house quaffer.

Cheers

They are going straight in the cellar Dan and will be looking forward to the whites release.

Was thinking of getting some of the cheaper Pinot but just picked up some Coldstream Hills through work at a pretty good price

Also got my Tyrrell's private Bins 3x Johnnos' and 3x Vat 9... I also ordered a sneaky magnum of the Vat 9 which is very pleasingly under screw cap! Possibly one of the first magnums I have seen so adorned, though I dont buy a lot.

I tried a bottle of this earlier this week and was sadly disappointed. Compared to a couple of other 2013 rieslings I have experimented with this week, it came across a little thin in the mid palate.

Jealous. Are there more floating around?

I succumbed to the hype of the 2010 Seppelts St Peters and bought a six pack.
