Awesome, thanks. I'm interested especially in the symbolic significance held by old vines so it's good to read about various controversies re: uprooting historical vineyards.

Walked past Chateau Reynella the other day where I thought all the vines had been pulled on the northern side. I noticed 3-4 rows still planted way down the back a few metres in front of some brand new double story apartments.Perhaps left for sentimental/ornamental reasons ?

Just ornamental I assume... and to rub salt into the wounds the new townhouses have gone up on cul-de-sacs called 'Cabernet Close' and 'Sauvignon Way'
