Congratulations, Dave ! You are the winner !

The wine in question that I have in my cellar is their Chardonnay. I'm not sure if all of their wines have the same flower on the cap, but that is a protea, and the Streicker business is both a winery, and a protea farm.

They're an interesting newcomer over there. They certainly have secured themselves a good winemaker in Bruce Dukes, and have three large vineyards (all within the Margaret River GI) to choose from, and their wines appear to have been highly awarded over a number of vintages. It appears they bought Clairault, so maybe some mature vineyards there ??

Anyway, so now I'd like to hand the reins to someone new to have a go at this...Dave, are you up for it ?

Obviously I need to check out the capsules in my cellar more. This is on the 2009 Cabernet, Chardonnay and the 2010 Sauvignon Semillon (yes, they leave the word 'blanc' off the label).

No but from the same country...

A pinot producer. In 2004 it made up a bit of hype (probably in US only) by beating a series of DRC wines in a blind tasting

think I should reveal the answer...

it's Domaine Serene from Oregon

DOMAINE SERENE TOPS
DOMAINE de la ROMANÉE-CONTI

Dayton, Oregon, Tuesday, June 29, 2004 – In a blind tasting by 37 wine industry professionals from throughout the United States, Oregon’s Domaine Serene Pinot Noir wines were blind tasted against the Grand Cru Burgundy wines of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC). In tasting flights from the 1998, 1999 and 2000 vintages, Domaine Serene wines swept the tastings, ranking first and second place in EVERY flight. Domaine Serene’s Grace Vineyard placed first in all three vintage flights.

“I was very pleased to see our wines show so well in this tasting since the very expensive Domaine de la Romanée-Conti wines are considered by most experts to be the worldwide gold standard for Pinot Noir wines,” said Ken Evenstad, Proprietor, Domaine Serene.

“The tasting panel was comprised of sommeliers, restauranteurs, wine retailers and distributors from 22 states across the country. To have this broad cross-section of tasters choose our wines over those of the DRC is quite an endorsement for Domaine Serene,” Evenstad stated.

The tasting panel participants were asked to rate the wines on aroma, taste and overall preference. The data was then input into a computer program to generate the order of preference. Each vintage flight was comprised of three DRC wines and three Domaine Serene wines. In all three vintages, Domaine Serene prevailed as the top wines.

*Prices for DRC wines are approximate. Prices for Domaine Serene wines are based on current release pricing.

I'd gone and googled it and figured it out, but I didn't want to hog the limelight; hoping that someone else would get it.

Do you want to have another go, Seven ?

lol. First I've heard of a google image search like that where you can upload an image and search for likenesses ! Well, that might have put an end to this thread !

Maybe I'll take to testing my entries before I post them...

The image with the dude in the hat appears (thank you google image search), to be Chinon, with best guess by google image searcher of "clos de la dioterie"

yes, google image search is a spoiler.

Actually, the correct answer is Charles Joguet Chinon. The photo is from a 1996 Clos de la Dioterie, but the label is similar on the other wines.

Frank.
