I must admit I'm dissapointed that my hopes of being able to compete in the post-count stakes after a fresh start have now been dashed :P

suggest a 'lounge' thread

The testing site had one

Hello

We are on task for a move to the new forum

This is planned to occur next Wednesday September 2.

For a short time, while this move occurs, we will 'lock' this forum. This is to stop any posts being posted here, then 'lost' in the swap over time.

The forum move will be complete, that is, it will be exactly as for this current forum, but on the new software, and new look.

All existing forums and posts will be moved, intact.

However, after all is working properly, I will then 'tweak' the forums, make some changes to the structure to move ahead.

All of you, all posts, all history will be moved across.

Please note, this would not be possible without 'volunteer' technical assistance, most of which has been well and truly, 'above the call'!

Forum member and regular, rooview, and his partner and team, deserve my wholehearted thanks for these efforts!! :!:

and (probably) yours too!
regards

Gavin Trott

Rooview, we are all in your debt.

Gavin, we're always in your debt.

Thanks very much to all involved in saving all the history and running the site.
Cheers,
Kris

Echoing the thanks to Gavin and Rooview. The amount I've learnt here is astonishing (even if I still screw up and have more to learn). Thanks folks.
As always, IMVHO. And Cheers

Thanks rooview and Gavin, as a newcomer, I'm loving the knowledge of members and the history of posts was a valuable resource.

A toast to you all....

Echoing the thanks to everyone who is helping out - it's wonderful news that all the posts, etc, will remain intact.
Fingers crossed that it all goes smoothly on Wednesday.

Rooview, just adding my thanks for your efforts and those else who are contributing to moving the contents of the current forum to the new format. The original forum content wasn't able to be translated to the current format if memory serves me correctly. But I was a latecomer to the original forum, thanks to Ric telling me about it at the old Winepros forum. My, how things have changed!

Cheers

daz.

WELL DONE to EVERYONE who helped make the smooth transition to the updated platform.

There's a drink on the bar for you.
