- Wendouree 06’ (3x each of the reds)
- Craggy Sophia 07’
- Craggy Le Sol 07’
- N.Feulliatte Palmes d’or 02’
- N.Feulliatte Palmes d’or 97’
- 2005 Guigal Lalas x 5
- Grange 04
- Grange 02
- Rousseau CSJ 99’
- WDC (springlat, alans, VP, DM btls & 2x DM Mags)

Broke, broke, broke, broke!!! .. but soon will have a new cellar for all these beauties!!

Reassuring to see I'm not the only one to have succumbed to the 04 Grange. BTW, what price did you get them for?

In regards to the Palmes d'or, what style of champagne are they? Big and muscular like a Krug or Bollinger, or more elegant and feminine like a Dom?

Had the the 97 for the better half's b'day in June. Has some development. Toasty and red delicious apples to the fore. Powerful flavour with a lingering finish. Perhaps more like Dom than Krug and Bolly in answer to the question as the fruit was dominant and no oak. Nifty looking bottle

Depends on the moula

The 1997 is a good drop. Entrance price is less than some other prestige labels but the quality is close. Wont be knocking Dom or Krug off the perch though Haven't tried the 2002. Didn't even realize it was out. I like the 2002 vintage in general.

Of course I think it depends on how it got over here and cellaring etc. Champagne is so fickle with storage

Just got from VC cellar share redemption another:

4x 2004 Penfolds RWT

While I was there, picked up:

2x 1998 Leasingham Classic Clare Sparkling Shiraz
6x 2004 Domaine Ramonet Chassagne Montrachet
6x 2007 Wynns Cabernet Sauvignon

That RWT offer was pretty good - managed to use my 3 cellar shares to get 1 2004. Had to go on a waiting list to get it - could see somebod else on the waiting list had requested 18 bottles (obviously had been saving up their cellar shares).

Maybe it was a small retailer who buys there super specials and collects the shares like the one i go to

And Monghead the 98 Leasingham sparkling is awesome

Tried it Dazza at the tasting bench. It was very closed. My impression was that it had good density and a lot of powdery tannin. Reminded me of a late 90's release of the JR actually. Not much to go on I know but the wine was closed after all

Very Broke .. im at home going through house plans... about to be even more broke. Its exciting though.

Thats it so far...contemplating digging into the new Guigal releases...the Lieu-dix St Joseph Blanc is excellent and the St-Joseph Vignes des l'Hospice is wicked...Brune et Blonde and d'Ampuis Cote Roties very good also....and if I can hide the purchase from the missus some La La's. Planning on getting stuck into the 2007 CNdP's though so it's all a balancing act.

I rarely buy wine by the case, being an impoverished youngster, but this week I picked up a case of cleanskin Chateaux Reynella 2005 Basket Press - a great wine for the price!

I really like Kay Brothers Hillside Shiraz and am dying for my 06 Block 6 to be ready for drinking. But that is probably another ten years away.
I cracked an 03 and an 04 Hillside a couple of weeks ago and I got a bee in my bonnet.
So I started hunting.

Today I picked up a case of the 06 Block 6.
(With the help of a friend).

I has a happy in my pants.

A 16 hour trans-Tasman trip left me little time to do much more than rifle through Wellington Airport's duty free selection, thus:

- One 2006 Penfolds Bin 389 magnum.

I'll keep buying 2006 389s in NZ for as long as I keep going and they keep giving them away. I think this one was NZ$88 - perhaps not as good value as the NZ$37 bottles but what will I care in 20 years' time?

Nothing too flash here, some of you guys are scary.... Grange, Mouton, Top Burgundy, Dom, Cheval.... ah yeah, no worries, 2 of those, 3 of those... must get a better job methinks!

PF Bin 28 2004 - not tried yet
Seppelt Chalambar 2004 - too early to drink, but good. Next day very poor though.... hmm??
Torzi Matthews Frost Dodger 2005 - over-ripe oaky but rich easy drinking
Villa Maria Cellar Reserve Pinot Noir 2007 - yum
Muga Rioja 2004 - yum
De Bortoli Shiraz Viognier 2006 - not tried yet

Petaluma Shiraz 2006 - Was good, but too early to drink
