TN: 2001 Great Western Kimbarra Cab Sav, Grampians

Post by markg »

A bright ruby red color and a sweet nose of dusty rich berries and hints of clove and nutmeg. The palate had nice blackberry and plum flavours with good structure, moderate tannins and a medium finish. It should drink even better in about 5 years.
Rating 16.0/20
Cheers

Good reading, the Kimbarra Great Western Shiraz is even much better again, and I have the blend here for the tasting bench, but many others queuing up to be tried also!

Great new producer, one to watch.

Couldn't talk my missus into picking me up afterwards so unless I can get a lift to North Haven with somebody I may have to give tonight a miss unfortunately
