Received a SMS from Adair this morning:

Adair and Mardi have been blessed with a baby girl. She has been named Vienna Elizabeth Durie. 7lb 5 oz. 51cm. Both very healthy. Vienna is seriously gorgeous!

Our heartiest congratulations to Adair and Mardi on this marvellous, marvellous day. I can just imagine the beaming smile on Adair's face. Well done the pair of you! This is just fantastic news!

Can't hurt to congratulate you guys again!! When are you going to buy the shotgun to keep those scoundrel boys from the front door?

All the best to Mardi and cheers from the benches!!!!

I have watched many of those American father and daughter movies and learnt how to and how not to scare potential boysfriends away and devised my own scheme to keep boys away until she is at least 30!

Edited 11th May 2004:

Although this is exactly one month after Vienna's birth, I thought I should post some pictures of Vienna's first few days, just in case any curious person comes back to this post. I also don't want to seem like one of those parents who think their baby is the cutest in the world and continues to tell everyone ad nausea that he/she is... although she obviously is :)

Vienna 3 or 4 minutes old - do not be concerned about the big bruise on her head. This dissipated over the following days/week and there is now no evidence of the "suction cap thingy" that was used in the delivery:

Well go on, you can't keep it a secret, it wouldn't be fair. My little girl is only 18 months but I'm already taking on Robert de Niro characteristics (not from Jackie Brown though). So go on, SHARE!!
