Medium, though still quite vibrant, garnet brick red, with an ever so slight tan on the rim. Simple and underwhelming, quite pretty bouquet of strawberry, cherry and fresh raspberry. The palate follows suit, at most medium weight, fresh acid with flavours matching the bouquet, finishing with soft drying tannins. The wine will not improve, but it has kept together quite well. Definitely not a great Montrose, though petite, pretty and completely undemanding...enjoyable.
