Blood red, orange rim. Nose of classic (past it) ageing Bordeaux – fading red berry fruit, coffee, tired cedar with tints of spice box & VA/green hints – but basic versions of & somewhat slight. The palate is of drying tannins & mineraly, black fruits with fading acidity. Hummm… fading but still silky… drink now if well cellared. If not dump. Could be enjoyable to some though.
I rate this a fragile drinker from now which is a pity as there was some freshness 2-4 years ago. 85 points. Missed the mark some years ago although some time decanted puts the pounds on!
