Decanting an 89 Mount Mary

Post by Raisin »

Hello all,

Going to a blind tasting in a few days and need your help in determining how long I should decant the Mount Mary. The wines are poured back in the bottle and bagged. Do any of you think it might show well without decanting? There are approximately 8 of us so the wine won't sit in the glass for too long:)

Cheers,

Francois

Mount Mary have recently done a big vertical tasting of all their wines.

As this wasn't a particularly brilliant year, I'd be inclined to decant it for maybe an hour or less before putting it back into the bottle to take along.
Cheers,
Kris

Thanks for the link Kris. I got a bit gunshy after reading the info on the 89 so I brought a 99 Moss Wood instead and it showed very well.

Cheers,

Francois
