Hello everybody: Avid reader but 1st time poster!
I was given a btl of this from a client last week and probably thought it is past its best as it wasn't a 'great' vintage....would that be correct? My other experience with St Henri was a 1995 last yr which hadn't been stored well and was dried out and going backwards

The Rewards of Patience gives this fairly short shrift and advises to drink now. However, I acquired bottle of this about 2 years ago and opened it soon after. Can't really speak for the cellar provenance - but I suspect it was okay. The wine was terrific, despite the usual crumbled cork. I thought it held up very well indeed for its age.
Think positive.
