Heat wave and Rubber Bands

Post by Red Bigot »

With a run of mid-high 30's and more for the next week, I've had the evaporative cooler running in the cellar to keep the humidity up as the aircon works overtime. Noticed today the humidity had dropped and the water level in the cooler hadn't, ripped it open to find the rubber band (I kid you not) that runs the pump off the fan had broken :-( Hope the local service agent has stock.

Other than that the aircon is just coping, 17.5 today, a bit cooler this evening, it might have a chance to recover.
Cheers
Brian
Life's too short to drink white wine and red wine is better for you too! :-)

Brian,

Just walk along the road after the mailman has been. You'll find heaps of them! :D

Cheers

At its 'economy' - the lowest setting mine is coping at 17 very nicely. The interesting thing is that the humidity is 50-70% and i am not doing anything to keep it there.

Seems there are advantages to puppy breath.
