My favorite kind of delivery just arrived in the office, wine! Purchased at auction no less.
I have one of each of the following, was wondering if anyone has tried these wines in the last few years and may have some decanting advise?
Tyrrell's Vat 9 Shiraz 1998 (probably still quite youthful? going to drink it anyhow...)
Orlando St Hugo Cabernet 1984
Orlando St Hugo Cabernet 1981
The latter two are birth year wines for my wife and I, planning to open them on our respective birthdays this year.
Auction purchases... decanting advice?

Tyrrell's 1998 Vat 9
I had one of these in July 2006 so it's probably developed a bit more since. But according to my brief tasting notes it should be ready to drink...
Medium to deep red with dark cherry, earth, new leather and a dash of pepper. Medium bodied with good intensity and balance. Into drinking window. Very enjoyable. 93
Enjoy,
