2003 Kilikanoon Rieslings - why are there 3 ?

Post by Vickie »

As per Gavin's latest newsletter, Kililikanoon now offers 3 '03 rieslings:
* Blackets Vineyard Riesling $19pb (Eden Valley)
* Morts Block Riesling $19 pb (Watervale)
* Morts Reserve Riesling $28 pb (Clare Valley)

Obviously the Blackets is from another area but why did Kilikanoon decide to produce a "Reserve" when the 2002 Morts Block Riesling was so successful?

Also, has anyone tasted the Morts Block and the Morts Reserve side by side? Or even all 3 side by side?

Adair ???

Thanks in advance,
Vickie :)

ps there's not much at the Kilikanoon website

Vickie

I've had two, with the Reserve still to go.

Loved the first two, but cannot answer why the three now, sorry.

How did the 03 Morts Block compare to the 02 Morts Block please?

Also, of the 2, which did you prefer and why please?

Cheers,
