2001 Mitchelton Vic Shiraz

Post by Rory »

Had been breathing in the bottle for 5 hours, but not decanted.
Good plum and earthy nose, very Rhoneish, colour a dark plum.
The palate was very smooth and dense with more plum, even a slight violet lift. Even tho it doesn't say so, wouldn't suprise me if there was some Viognier in it.
Well handled oak, a good finish and overall pretty good for the price.
