Chalk Hill wines..

Post by Enzot »

Hi everyone

Was in my local wine shop yesterday and noticed the Chalk Hill Sangiovese and the Barbera...£11.99 and £13.99.Do you guys recommend these wines. As I've never seen let alone tried them before.I could do with some help.

P.S The 2005 Sangiovese is 16 % alchohol....Chianti on steroids !

Cheers
Enzo...

I haven't seen these wines in Oz either, but the 2004 vintage of these two are still available from one merchant in Oz for AUD18.99, so your prices look a bit high.

Apart from curiousity (1-bottle buy), why would you want to by 16% Australian Sangiovese when you have easy access to the "real stuff" and probably cheaper?
Cheers
Brian
Life's too short to drink white wine and red wine is better for you too! :-)
