For those who can get to Grace Bros / Myers, they are selling the Esse design glassware at 40% off, it is apparently about to change branding. I got 6 of the large red glasses for under $25 after C-M discount. (Canberra sale anyway, they are usually national).
Great everyday glasses for good reds and I put them through the dish washer too.

Brian,
Don't worry about them being only everyday glasses. I know of several flash Harry eateries that use them and have often seen people using them who stated that they were pleased to be drinking out of Reidels, what a wonderful place it was to be using them, and making all the other appropriate noises.

Davo,
Ah the un-educated masses, how would people make a profit without them? I'd be happy to get Esse glasses rather than the crappy small ones many (otherwise good) restaurants seem to offer.
Dined tonight at Water's Edge, Federation Square on Lake Burley Griffin, stunning location, very good food, red wine glasses slightly smaller than the Reidel Chianti glasses. The Eileen Hardy Shiraz 91 from my cellar coped quite well I thought, would have been even better in Reidel Shiraz glasses I'm sure. I had to drop the wine off 'before evening service' as they don't normally allow byo Fri/Sat nights. I wonder if the 5 empty tables would have been occupied if the did allow byo?

glasses
I used to have some great Bormioli Rocco "Altea" range glasses that were elelantly simple with tall, very fine stems (so fine I went through four boxes in a year) but haven't been able to find any to replace them. Still looking if anyone has any suffestions. Tried the web unsuccessfully.
For my every day drinking glasses I have found some Bordeaux style glasses- believe it or not - at Freedom Furniture! Great (just smaller than Grand) size, elegant stems not far off the lost Bormioli, tall, deep, but not too big or heavy to handle, and don't break when you clean them. $25 for a box of four is not super cheap but they do seem tough for their shape.
regards
