Any ideas??

Now that he/she is in retirement is it time to remove the mask?

He's not in a retirement home. His aftershave is still wafting though the castle and he still hasn't cleaned up that collection of magazines under his bed.

Although I don't know why I bother, Quizmaster gets all the credit while I do all the work, never getting thanked , just "where's the quiz the board is waiting?"; no, nothing, not even the tailings from a decanter.....

Adam, you'll just have to keep guessing, I may do a ‘Plugger’ or an ‘Alfie’ and come out of retirement one Friday. And besides, you didn’t even have a stab.

Oh, and young Apprentice, I’ve only left you on your own for a mere 5 minutes, and already you’ve forgotten everything I taught you, I guess I have no choice, I’ll just have to keep an eye on you from afar to ensure you remain dedicated and focused.

So listen up young Apprentice ……… “pull yourself together before you pull yourself apart”.

Right, let’s go over it again:

‘Credit’ …. Stop winning, lest you’ll become something of a liability and are written off.

‘Thanks’ …. No, no, no, we do not do this to be thanked, we do this for the love of it.

“The Board is waiting’ …. Of course they are, this is your damn job man, so get on with it.

“Not even tailings” …. Arrgh, why is it that so many young fellows like yourself all to often think that the moment they are thrust into the Quizmaster limelight, that they can suddenly command ‘Grange’. Crawl back into your dungeon and remember, patience young Apprentice, patience.

And just how many times do I have to tell you, DON”T mention the magazines.

Remember Apprentice, this is simply a case of ‘mind over matter …… the readers don’t mind, and you most certainly don’t matter! Now get back to the books and be nice.

As I read Quizmasters post (notice I used a capital Q. Hail Lord Quizmaster), it seems to have a note of TORB in the writing. (Also notice no remarks about spelling  . No disrespect intended)

I think Ric owes you a bottle of 94 Lawson's for your perspicacity, if not for his notorious spelling, Jamie

Ric,

I don't think you are correct. I know, but I'm not telling, well maybe for a bottle of 98 Grange, anyone want to know that badly? :D
Cheers
