Very drinkable budget blend ($14.95 Melbourne) of Tempranillo, Garnarcha and Cab. Sauv. from Julian Chivite in Navarra, Spain.
Surprised by depth in all areas - colour deep ruby, quite dense. Nose showed plenty of sweet fruit and maturing, melding aromas. Plenty of body, warm flavours (but not hot or alcoholic - only 12.5% a.v.), good depth, soft tannin, rounded and well-integrated, some mature complexity. Not the longest finish, but good at this price point.
Overall a very well-balanced, flavoursome wine of some character, and a good alternative to Oz reds at a very fair price. I've picked up a few more for everyday drinking!
