Hi all,
Anyone tasted these and if so, what is the opinion? I am travelling to SA next week for a few days of wine, wine, wine and oh, wine. Have organised a tasting of these and would be interested in others opinions before I get there.
I used to love these wines in the Chateau Reynella days.....Those were the days...
Thanks in advance
Finney
Reynella 2002 Shiraz & Cab Sav
Hi Finney,
I've tried the 2002 Reynell Shiraz, it's a nice wine, but struggling to justify $40+. They've changed the style a fair bit, more refined than the old muscular style, and more approachable as a young wine, almost elegant in comparison to the old-style.
Looks like a lot of the big producers are cutting back on the full-bodied "cellar for 10 years before drinking" sort of wines, the 2003 Wynns Michael and John Riddoch have gone in that direction too.
Be interested to see how you find the Reynells.
