TORB - what is wrong with the Paragon Cafe?

Post by DJ »

Ric
Congratulations on a huge effort on the latest Tour Diary.

But I am just a little worried how sick you were at the end of the trip - Pizza Hut in Goulburn?! Surely the Paragon would have been a better option - they even make a half decent pizza ("Half decent" - that has to be at least twice as good as Pizza Hut 8) )

The Paragon was an institution in Goulburn when I left 24 years ago but still is a good place to stop now that a young family means we can't get from Sydney to Canberra without a break.

Cheers

Hi David,

Now the big question is, which Paragaon cafe was there first; Katoomba or Goulburn? :) I also remember eating in a Paragon somewhere on a back road to Adelaide in about 1976  so when did the Paragon become a franchaise. :?

I haven't heard to much positive about the Paragon but did notice there was a reasonable crowd in there as I drove past. Next time and thanks for the pizza tip.

The increadinble, bloody frightening thing is that Brian, the Pie King Apprentice is about to take over moderating the Food Forum here.    :D
Cheers

I suspect that Paragon Cafes are a bit like Royal Hotels - one in every town if not every street corner :P , no franchaise needed.
