1995 Chateau Bouscasse Madiran – 12.5% - South-West France
Opened for a number of hours. Quite gorgeous nose with minerals, herbs and a little leafiness. Lacks a bit of power on the front and middle with a base of restrained blackberry in a Rhone style but gravel nuances add to the complexity. Smooth until quite abundant, fine tannins kick in that reach above the teeth, but are easily absorbed by my duck cassoulet. Sensuous, harmonious and enjoyable. A wine to drink over a number of hours. 17.9/20, 92/100.
Kind regards,
Adair
