2002 Seppelt St Peters

Post by beef »

Hi all,

I don't suppose some kind soul in SA would be willing to pick me up a 6-er of 2002 St Peters, from some retailer that might currently be mentioned on Brian's site? I live in Brisbane, and local retailers stocked SFA of that particular wine. I only got one bottle, and we all know that's just not enough :-)

I'd happily be willing to pay some sort of commission.

Thanks heaps everyone,

Stuart

Call them. I'm sure they'll send it to you.

That particular retailer refuses to send stock from individual stores, and their central warehouse doesn't have any :(

The store was DM in Adelaide, they appear to only have 2000/2001, not 2002 as advertised. :x
Cheers

Life's too short to drink white wine and red wine is better for you too! :-)

You can keep your wallet in your pocket.

They are now advertising a misprint in store, but they do have the 2001 available at the advertised price.

From memory it is quite good drinking also, maybe a few points shy of the 2002.

There goes my big profit from Langtons...

Like most stores they only had tiny amounts of the 2002 St.Peters for a fleeting moment weeks ago.

It just reinforces that these stores are grocers selling wine. They don't think vintage is important, a tiny print disclaimer at the bottom covers them.

Other than the occasional very cheap price, usually on very cheap wine we wouldn't drink anyway, DMs shelf prices are not the cheapest in town but they do a great job of convincing the masses they are.
Cheers - Steve
If you can see through it, it's not worth drinking!
