Over the last 10 years or so, my cellar has grown exponentially from around 600, where it had sat for a long time, to almost 2500. I blame this growth solely upon my meeting Brian and the contribution of other people who frequent this forum for being a bad influence upon my impeccable character.
For some time now, I have had the objective of reducing the size of the cellar but have never actually made much progress, the biggest problem was l kept on buying too much. As the first half of year is almost complete I had a look at a few quick numbers on RB's Cellar Master Program.
The good news is but I have only purchased 105 bottles so far this year. I have also sold 50 resulting in a net purchase of 55. Needless to say, solely due to the freeloading nature of my friends, I would have opened up more than three times that number (from my cellar) over the last six months. The result, a net decrease of about 125 bottles so far. I feel like awarding myself a gold star for restraint, but instead, over the last 24 hours, ordered four cases to share with friends.
