A lovely pale yellow color with a lifted, spicy nose. The palate was wonderful with rich fruit, spicy lime and a zesty crisp, dry finish. Well integrated with great structure and balance. A top wine.

Biased view here as I do not like the style, but I have had every Trioet made and drunk them since mid-last year - fruit ameliorates, they remain austere and highly acidic. I like a bit of primary fruit in my wine but these are too bone dry for my palate. Better young IMO (although the good Dr. M will recommend 10 years). Tip: buy them from auction - often sell for less than $35, and even below $30 (I know coz I sold a stack over past 6 months)

Thanks for those thoughts. I ordered three with my first MM order (96 white vintage) and had sort of forgotten about them. Should really drag them out and find out how they are, I suppose. I think they only cost $27 then but yes, the whites do seem a lot cheaper at auction these days, compared to the cellar door pricings.
Cheers,
Kris
