Not a big fan of the 01. Might have had a dud bottle though. Any notes on the 02 yet?

The 01 was not my style either but the 02 is far better IMO. Notes to come in the tour diary but it would get a buy recommendation.

The vinatge report will be up next week and the first chapter the week after that. It will take about 5 or 6 chapters to cover the lot at the rate of a chapter a week. McLaren Vale will be first chapter and possibly the second chapter, depending on size. I didnt taste the Reynell Basket Press; Hardys is not excatly the most forthcoming cellar door in the area.

I was very impressed with the 2002 Lloyd - it would get an 'outstanding' rating from me. I just had a taste at the cellar door recently, but I thought it was one of the top Shiraz I tasted in McLaren Vale.

I tasted the 02 Lloyd at the CD on Saturday - it's a very good wine, and fairly priced at $65. Better value is the Old Barn Shiraz Cabernet (CD only), which packs a similar punch for $30.
