TN: Total ECLIPSE of the Heart.

Turnaround, Every now and then I get a
little bit restless and I dream of something wild
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a
little bit helpless....

Having spent most of my life in cool desperation and unfulfilled need in the 80's era, listening to Bonnie Tyler while savouring NOON ECLIPSE is like an apprehension of time, a thought, or emotion through the senses with my mind leading to the accumulation of bygone memories.

The limited quantity <100mlEclipse 2002 drank last weekend was barely enough to satisfied my lust and I thirst for more...
Last night I succumbed to self indulgent.

Anti-thesis of restraint, this wine is licentious and it take no prisoner. The intoxicating aromas sent me into a state of euphoria. Each little sips was framed by the essence of the dry farmed grapes and the labourious labour that has transformed into elements of pleasure. I can think all night, blackfruits, spices or even adapt it to a certain visual language, it is not essential for I am totally immensed. Transcending the ordinary, this wine will embrace by the hedonists and forbid the intellectual.

BRAVO to Drew Noon a Master of Wine. By following his desire that clearly defied his textbook he crafted a profound wine of immense proportion. Even Tarkovsky once implied that it wouldn't be necessary for others to acknowledged about the meanings of his work, he simply makes it.

Agree on all counts, great TN, great wine, yes I must look for more too.

Noons Eclipse is one of only a few Grenache or Grenache blends that really get me switched on. Don't get too hung up on vintages of Eclipse, they are all just variations to a theme, the 2000 is drinking really well now as last nights full bottle session in front of Fox can attest!

The others that I'm making a permanent addition to the cellar are three new labels, Kalleske, Glaymond and Schwarz. Unfortunately they are all in limited supply but I'm determined to get a six pack of each for the longer haul if at all possible.
Cheers - Steve

A hedonistic Eclipse, a reference to one of my all-time favourite dirctors (Tarkovsky) and a TN with feeling and emotion. Good stuff.

Good tasting note.

I agree with the 2002 Eclipse, a wonderful wine and so well balanced it could join the circus.

Not as well balanced, nor does it have the power of the 2002, although it is still an excellent wine.
