A single vineyard wine from Roger Pike in McLaren Vale.
A deep, dark purple/black color with a complex nose of rich dark fruits, underlying aniseed and savoury nuances. The palate is deep, powerful and rich with intense flavours of small, sweet blackberry underpinned by hints of beef stock. Silky smooth, good structure and balance with a long finish. A very good wine.

Agree Mark, an excellent wine from a tiny producer. I had one last week to see how it was progressing and thought it even better than on release. The palate really does have a silkiness about it.
I grabbed another six over the weekend to bolster my stocks as at a low $20s price it will become a house wine at my place for a coupla months before the balance is tucked away for the long haul.
