New Food Wine Forum

Post by Gavin Trott »

Hello

I have just created a new forum, the Food & Wine Forum.

It will of course become whatever the members make of it, but the idea is that its a good place for wine and food type conversations and information.

Its a great place to talk about your favourite restaurant, good BYO restaurants, your favourite wine and food combinations, that special recipe you love and more.

Naturally we'd love as many people as possible to join is. It will make great reading, but be even better with lots of active participation.

I hope you find it useful and enjoyable.

Tonight I have taken some liberties and started a structure of recipes. Trying to keep like foods together ie soups, vegetarian, noodle.

If I am out of place with this then wipe it away Gavin, I will not be offended. I just find it easier to find recipes if I am following a thread rather than having to read every one.

Just a thought.

Hi Graham & Gavin

I think the Food and Wine forum is a top idea, and Graham, I agree that some form of classification is required. However, I note that a couple of the recipes already posted have no wine recommendations to accompany them. If it is to be truly a Food & Wine Forum, then a lot of the value is in posters suggesting one or more wines (or a style of wine) that they have found complements the dish. We'd be interested in your opinions, especially if you've found an unusual match that has worked especially well for you.

Cheers
