What's the general opinion?

I bought some 2000 St Ignatius. Read good reviews about their reds and riesling. Their website seems to have some good deals.

Any strong opinions or recent TN's?

Tim Gneil (ex Knapstein) took over as winemaker in 03, I would presume that there would be a slight deviation in direction compared to the style of Br. John. Personally, I think that shows in the 04 Riesling.

I tried their current release reds at CD 2 weeks ago and while I found most were reasonable value for money wines there was nothing in their lineup that insisted I take enough notice to buy it.

There was far better wine to be had elsewhere in Clare.

And the lack of wine knowledge happily displayed by the CD staff was a delight to behold, I don't think.
