2004 Pauletts Trillians Sparkling Riesling

Post by JohnP »

Polish Hill River, Clare

Light honey amber colour.
A nicely spiced, some kero, but attractive nose.
Great zesty palate, nice bead, just a little bready, but with excellent sweet lime/lemon, beautiful acidity and a lovely long drying finish.

At $20 a bottle well worth a taste.
Barossa Shiraz

I had a bottle of the 2002 which I drank in January this year. Very good stuff. I cannot see why Clare and Eden Valleys don't produce more sparkling rieslings.

Can anyone comment on the ageability of sparkling rieslings?
