The Wolf Blass Platium Label is already out and it costs about $150/bottle.
how do you guys think about this wine and its value? and one more thing, it's a screwcap (again).

Had the complete high end Blass range at a tasting last week, very impressive wines.
As for the price? well I rarely buy over $100, GC Roennfeldt & Torbreck RunRig being the only ones recently. I'd be tempted by the Platinum but then again you can buy the Hutton Vale Shiraz for 1/3 the price and they own the vineyard the Shiraz comes off and Torbreck make their wine so maybe I'd go that way.
As for screwcaps, bloody great. Now the research has finally been published debunking the flat earth types insistence that reds won't age unless under cork, guys like Blass are doing the smart thing and putting their best wines under screws. It's gaining momentum at the top end, Cullen, Moss Wood, Kay Bros etc are all screw now.
If reds need cork to age, how come the Sparkling Reds like Seppelt Show are ageing beautifully under crown seals?

Whilst the Hutton Vale Shiraz is an excellent wine, it fall short of the Platinum quality. I suspected Mr.Angas sold his best parcels to Blassie. Man for woman, I believed Dave "Power"
is a better winemaker than Caroline Dunn(without being chauvanistic)

Dan that was kind enough to open up both the 01 and the 02 to for me, but you will have to wait for the relevant chapter of the tour diary for that one. If I keep typing up tasting notes out of sequence, the story will never be completed.
