G’day
The Lloyd Shiraz is the flagship wine of the Coriole portfolio. This was purchased at the cellar door in 2016. 14.5% alcohol.
Decanted 2 hours before service. Purple / black in colour. There’s ripe and developed black plums and blackberries on the nose, with savoury oak, mocha, soy and bay leaf. The palate is rich, with a little glycerol texture, more dark and slightly raisined fruits, some chocolate and a faint hint of leather. Long finish.
This has plenty of time left, and could go another 5 years.
Cheers
Allan

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.

Thanks Allan a favourite of mine. Think there's 3-4 in the cellar.

still have a couple of bottles of the 1991 version of this, it has consistently been incredible. Has, IMO, the complexity that the vast majority of Aussie shiraz lack.
easily the best "mature" Aussie red wine I have in my cellar, and probably the only one I think about drinking when I'm looking around for something to drag out. Have not had any Grange or HoG that would match this.
