Hi Folks,
I'm after recommendation for Australian Sherries - or is that Sherrys ? Obviously Seppelt features highly, and does anyone have some other favourites ?
Cheers, Duncan
Sherry Recommendations wanted
A Couple of Amontillados
If you like the Seppelts, the other icons are the Lindemans, but I notice they have dropped reference to them on their website.
The sherry I have open at the moment is Woody's Amontillado from Pennyweight winery, Beechworth. The grower and winemaker is Stephen Morris great-grandson of the founder of Morris of Rutherglen. The wine confirms the theory that skill in making fortifieds has a genetic basis. They also have a fino and an olorosso.
I don't know if the wine is widely distributed, but you can look them up on the web.
Cheers

Morris's have a cellardoor Amontillado that is to die for!
They just bottled the Old Premium as well which isn't cheap but amazing wine.
