2004 Tower Estate Semillon - Hunter Valley
Seamless wine of very good, youthful complexity. Lemon, grass, asparagus, daisy-like florals and some Rousanne-like nuttiness. Smooth palate with abundant fine acidity unobtrusively underneath. A medium term Hunter Semillon that will be at its peak in 6 years. 17.5/20 (Silver).

2004 Tower Estate Semillon
Adair,
Its a nice wine- as a matter of co-incidence, I opened both the 1999 and 2003 Tower Semillons last night to have look side by side. Both good wines, with the 99 having the better breeding. Some signs of development but still fresh and lively in the mouth, subtle early toast/ honey showing but quite some time in front of it. The 2004 and 1999 show similar characteristics technically(almost identical Ph/acid at bottling) so it will be interesting to see how the younger ages.
How is fatherhood?
Cheers
