Standish Museum release

Post by sjw_11 »

OK so who on here picked one of these up?

$825/6 pack and sold out within 7 hours of the offer being sent ...

A super clever idea to package up a "curated" mixed half dozen with some age on. I am always surprised wineries don't do a bit more with museum releases, I guess storage space and the time value of cash flow are the constraints.

drank a 2016 'the standish' couple weeks back in BV. damn this is a brute of a wine. So dark and broody and lots of savoury meats, dark berries & black olive notes driving it. The lads and I really didn't know what to make of it. It's got some finish & power though. Understandably i think it lacked a little finesse this young and needs a lot longer to settle down.
It's a whopper. Love to see this in 10 years, i think it will become something really amazing.
There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot.

Well the 2019 Lamella EV sold out in 30 minutes when the mailer went out in May...but yes three minutes is lighting quick, of course someone may have purchased multiple six packs
Yes for me they are a bit exxy, but pound for pound belt any other BV shiraz that I have tried...in either terms of quality or price.
I suspect there will be a stampede for the next two offerings...after that I am out.
