TN: Voyager Estate Cabernet Merlot 2013

Post by Waiters Friend »

Deep purple in colour, and quite translucent / glowing around the edge.

Rich and complex nose, with blackcurrant, tobacco, eucalypt, red plums, cedar, blueberries and a touch of nutmeg. The palate is also rich and medium- to full-bodied, with a flood of fruits across the palate. Tannins are drying but integrated, and there's a tickle of acid to keep the wine fresh. Very long finish - I am tasting this wine for minutes. Totally balanced and will go for years yet.

Surely in the upper range of Margaret River Cabernet Merlots.

Cheers
Allan
Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.

One of my favourites. MR does the blend so well and each component is good in its own right.

Agreed. This used to be my go to Margaret River experience, but price around $70 it now is just in the mix of 10 or so contenders. But it rarely disappoints.
