Short notes = just "thinking" aloud, hoping for more clues, not flame job.
So, are we looking at a flying winemaker from Henschke working for an actor who has played a SWAT team member?
Just a stab in the dark (not the back )

Sorry Chow Chow, i didn't realise it was you answering
SO, we are looking at a non-oz maker on some of our best old vine turf, which is owned by an expat police soldier from the USA?
Hmmm, tricky!
Is there anyone else out there with an idea? I don't really want to cheat....

Sacred patch = From vines between 97-103 years old.
There were only 2 Hogsheads of this wine made.
According to Greg, they are 98-104 year old vines. I am writing an article about them and have thier wines on the tasting bench at the moment. They also make other wines from younger material which is grown on the same patch.
Okay, I had to google that to find out very little.
Chris Ringland project, Barossa shirazes, includes a shiraz called Shiraz Shiraz?
I don't think that you mean Paul Hobbs from California. Or is he involved too?
I guess I will have to wait for TORB's article to be finished to get the full story!
Let us all know when it is posted, it sounds interesting!

Durif Blend
Dear 707
If you'd like to see a wine labelled Shiraz Shiraz I'm thinking of sending a Durif (Petit Syrah) Shiraz blend to the states.
It'll be a Petit Syrah/ Syrah perhaps we should call it "Que"
It picked up a high Silver in Rutherglen but the more I liked the wine in Rutherglen the less they got!
Need a new Chairman of Judges......he doesn't like big stuff!
Cheers
