This Geographe producer sources grapes from Frankland for its Riesling and shiraz. Both are generally excellent, and this is no exception. A few years' age has not hurt it, also.
Deep purple in the glass. Lots of dark fruits dominate the nose (blackberry and blueberries) and are well supported by some black pepper, dried herbs and cedary oak. Some savoury developed characters are also starting to emerge. The palate is quite full and rich, with some dark chocolate over the berry and plum fruit, while the tannins are soft and only slightly grippy. The wine is medium- to full-bodied, and has a long velvety finish.
Very good now - may still have a couple of years more development in it.
