Decanted about 20 minutes before service, and I wish we had opened it earlier. The wine showed well regardless, with tasters commenting on choc-mint, "70% dark chocolate", coffee grounds and After-Dinner Mints. There was more to the wine, which was appearing fresher than I expected from a 27 year old wine. The dark and red fruits, although no longer primary, were still evident, and there was a little graphite as well. Very mouthfilling and finished very long indeed.
