Last time I looked at this wine was in 2015, at a Grand Cru tasting http://forum.m.auswine.com.au/forum3/viewto ... a6#p128879. This was the group's tasting note:
Teusner Avatar Grenache Mourvedre Shiraz 2006 (Barossa). A complex nose of eucalypt, coffee, mocha, a little barnyard, along with some tar and stewed fruits, notably fig. The palate is medium to full bodied, with velvety tannins, floods of dark fruits and some savouriness. Very well balanced and wine of the bracket.
Not surprisingly, this has developed in the past four years. It's lighter overall, although the eucalypt, mocha and stewed fruits are still evident on the nose. The palate has softened considerably, and the velvety texture has dissipated, leaving acid as the slightly dominant character. However, there's still some pretty powerful red fruits here, and they follow through to the finish. If this wine has peaked, then it is by a whisker. It's not quite as powerful as four years ago, but is still full of character and interest.
Cheers
Allan

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.
